Thalia, crowned with the flower of gladness, your laughter reveals the grace of truth and makes the divine festival bright. Receive our praise among the radiant daughters of Zeus. Glory to the Father, whose abundance sustains their joy and whose majesty gives the feast its sacred dignity. Hail, flourishing Muse; hail, Zeus, in whose presence beauty, truth and gladness dwell together.
After you are done with this, you can meditate on Thalia's Sigil in the Temple of Zeus. Let yourself be immersed and to receive energy from Thalia.
It's important to meditate on yourself after the Ritual calmly for a few minutes.
Flourishing and comedy
The rite follows the flourishing suggested by Thalia’s name into the later sphere of comedy. Its laughter has a place in the community: an audience receives a story together, recognises its turns and answers with a common voice. The prayer’s feast and wreath develop this theme. Diodorus Siculus, Library of History 4.7.1–4
The mask and the living face
The mask is a traditional sign of Thalia. In the seal it gathers the expressive force of the face into a visible emblem. Ivy surrounds it, while the crook recalls the pastoral side of her later imagery. The sprouting seed belongs to this rite’s account of joy as something tended and renewed. The festival of truth
The Golden Book invokes Thalia’s untainted gladness, asking that pretension fall away and truth appear in its own grace. Her divine festival opens the soul to the sacred word as to a gracious friend. The flowering and the joyful mask in her Shenu belong to this praise of truth made welcome through beauty. The Golden Book of Zeus, Invocation of the Muses · Thalia
The sacred letters
Θ · Γ · Α unites Θάλεια, γέλως and ἄνθος: Thalia, laughter and the flower. In her rite they honour flourishing life and the gladness through which truth is received with grace. Temple of Zeus: sacred-letter recitation
