Hail, Clio, keeper of the undying record. Beneath your care the Divine deeds retain their names, and the generations receive the inheritance of remembrance. Glory to Zeus, whose sovereignty gives the sacred history its order and whose justice illumines its meaning. May your scroll remain radiant in his light, and may the praise of the Gods pass faithfully from voice to voice.
After you are done with this, you can meditate on Clio's Sigil in the Temple of Zeus. Let yourself be immersed and to receive energy from Clio.
It's important to meditate on yourself after the Ritual calmly for a few minutes.
Fame and history
Clio’s later association with history grows naturally beside the older idea of lasting renown. The rite therefore honours both the person remembered and the discipline of the person who writes. The new hymn’s stele and tablet bring this keeping of memory into visible form. Diodorus Siculus, Library of History 4.7.1–4
Remembrance and the living tradition
The Golden Book calls upon Clio to summon deeds from Oblivion and reveal their beginnings and their ends. Knowledge of former things becomes understanding of the present, and the tradition passes through the generations. Her prayer honours memory as a living continuity under Zeus. Reading the Shenu
The open scroll bears orderly strokes of writing around a central torch. Laurel gives honour to what is preserved; the rising light and flowing lines express the passage of an account through time. The diamond holds the composition together. Its meaning in this rite is the gathering of a scattered record into a coherent account. The scroll is a traditional attribute; the complete arrangement belongs to this ritual. The Muses: traditional literary and artistic attributes
