Kheiron [Buer] Power Ritual
The Wisest of All · Teacher of Heroes · The Immortal Healer
- This Ritual is based on vibrating the Runes and making certain affirmations. Raising your energies before the Ritual is advised.
- The Sigil that is provided is the point of focus where this Ritual is upon.
- The Runes that are done here can be vibrated around the centre of the Sigil where the Shenu Protection Ring is. You can imagine this glowing with the warm amber light of a healer's hearth in a cave on a mountainside.
- Vibrate these Runes in a short version. If you can't do the full amount, reduce all vibrations by half.
The Temple of Zeus calls upon you.
You who dwelt in the cave on Mount Pelion,
where the herbs grew thick at the entrance
and the sons of kings came to learn at your feet:
hear us, and teach us as you taught the heroes of old.
We, the Initiates of Zeus, invoke you
as students invoke the teacher they trust with their lives.
Before there was a physician among men, there was you.
You knew the name and the power of every root, every leaf, every bark.
You knew which herb draws out poison and which herb knits the broken bone.
You placed this knowledge into the hands of Asclepius,
and from Asclepius it passed to all who heal.
Heal the Initiates of Zeus in body.
Where there is sickness, bring remedy.
Where there is pain, bring relief.
Where the body falters, restore its strength.
Let the ancient knowledge of herbs and of nature
flow once more into the hands of those who serve the Temple.
Not all wounds bleed. Not all fevers burn the skin.
The spirit can be broken while the body stands upright.
You knew this. You healed Peleus when grief had made him hollow.
You raised Achilles not only to fight but to feel.
Heal the Initiates of Zeus in spirit.
Where the mind is clouded, bring clarity.
Where the heart is heavy, bring lightness.
Where the soul carries wounds that no one else can see,
lay your hands upon them as you laid your hands
upon the heroes who came to your cave broken and left it whole.
In your cave, philosophy was not spoken in abstractions.
It was lived. You taught Achilles justice by showing him justice.
You taught Jason courage by placing him in danger.
You taught Asclepius compassion by letting him see suffering
and then giving him the tools to end it.
Teach the Initiates of Zeus as you taught the heroes.
Sharpen our logic, that we may think without error.
Ground our ethics, that we may act without shame.
Deepen our understanding of the natural world,
that we may read the laws written in leaf and stone and star.
Let us be worthy students of the Greatest Teacher.
Every hero that Hellas remembers passed through your hands first.
They came to you as children. They left as legends.
Not because you gave them strength they did not have,
but because you showed them the strength that was already within them
and taught them how to use it without destroying themselves.
Raise the Initiates of Zeus into heroes.
See what is within us that we ourselves cannot yet see.
Call it forth, as only a true mentor can.
Be patient with us as you were patient with the young Achilles,
and do not give up on us until the work is done.
Sagittarius is you. You are the Archer in the sky, placed there by Zeus himself after you chose death over endless suffering. The philosophy is what you taught in the cave on Pelion. The herbs are the medicine you gave to Asclepius. The healing is the gift that flows from your hands. The wheeling form is the turning of the constellation that bears your image.
We declare the truth of your identity.
You are Kheiron, Son of Kronos, the Wisest Centaur, Teacher of Achilles, Mentor of Asclepius, Father of Medicine and Philosophy, He whom Zeus set among the stars as the eternal Archer.
We recognize you for who you Truly are.
The Goetic name described the wheel. The True Name is the one who turns it.
Blessed are you, Kheiron, the Wisest, the Healer, the Teacher of Heroes.
Blessed is your medicine, your philosophy, your patience, and your sacrifice.

After you are done with this, you can meditate on Kheiron's Sigil in the Temple of Zeus. Let yourself be immersed in the warmth of the healer's cave and receive the wisdom of the Greatest Teacher.

On Kheiron: Kheiron (Χείρων) is the wisest and most just of all the Centaurs, son of Kronos and the Oceanid Philyra. Unlike all other Centaurs, who were savage and lawless, Kheiron was gentle, learned, and devoted to the education of the young. He raised Achilles, Asclepius, Jason, Heracles, and many others in his cave on Mount Pelion, teaching them medicine, philosophy, music, archery, ethics, and the knowledge of the natural world. He was the founder of medicine and the mentor of Asclepius, who carried his teaching into the world. After being wounded by a poisoned arrow of Heracles, Kheiron, though immortal, chose to surrender his immortality and accept death. Zeus placed him among the stars as the constellation Sagittarius. The Goetic tradition preserved him as Buer, a spirit who appears when the Sun is in Sagittarius, teaches philosophy and herbs, and heals all diseases. Sagittarius is Kheiron. The teaching is his. The healing is his. The Name returns.
