Eros [Zepar] Power Ritual
The Firstborn Fire · He Who Binds All Things · Lord of the Golden Arrow
- This Ritual is based on vibrating the Runes and making certain affirmations. Raising your energies before the Ritual is advised.
- The Sigil that is provided is the point of focus where this Ritual is upon.
- The Runes that are done here can be vibrated around the centre of the Sigil where the Shenu Protection Ring is. You can imagine this lighting up with warmth, like a heart glowing at the centre of a flame.
- Vibrate these Runes in a short version. If you can't do the full amount, reduce all vibrations by half.
The Temple of Zeus calls upon you.
You who were before all things were,
you whose breath stirred the first movement in the void,
you whose touch made the scattered elements rush toward one another and become a world:

What the body does in love is what the Cosmos did at the beginning:
two halves rushing toward one another to create what neither could alone.

After you are done with this, you can meditate on Eros's Sigil in the Temple of Zeus. Let yourself be immersed in the warmth of the Firstborn Fire and receive the energy of Eros.
It is important to meditate on yourself after the Ritual calmly for a few minutes.

On Eros: Eros is known in two aspects. As Eros Protogonos (the Firstborn), he is the primordial cosmic force that emerged at the beginning of all things, the power that makes all elements desire union. The Orphic tradition called him Phanes ("the Shining One") and Erikepaios. As Eros Olympios, he is the Son of Aphrodite, the winged archer whose golden arrows kindle love and whose leaden arrows repel. Both aspects are one God: the cosmic and the personal, the force that moves galaxies and the force that moves the heart. The Goetic tradition preserved him as Zepar, a red-clad spirit of desire. The flame is the same. The Name returns.
On Aphrodite Ourania and Chthonia: The Mother of Eros Olympios is Aphrodite, who herself is twofold. Aphrodite Ourania (the Heavenly) governs the love between souls, the aspiration toward the divine, the yearning for union that transcends the body. Aphrodite Chthonia (the Earthly) governs the love between bodies, the sacred fire of sexuality, the power that generates new life. The Son inherits both: Eros binds soul to soul and flesh to flesh, for both are holy.
